Small Items With Big Impact!

Sometimes a little thing can make a big difference.

A few times through the years I have had drawers on my dressers that don’t work properly.  I had put up with them for a long time.  In some cases I avoided using the drawers – putting rarely used items in them or not using them at all.  Until I voiced my frustrations one day, I didn’t know that there was a fairly simple fix to my problem.

In many cases this ‘faulty drawer’ problem can be attributed to the plastic slider on the bottom being broken.  Did you know that you can buy those sliders at the hardware store?

Here is the product.

There are 2 different sizes, so pull your drawer out, take the old one off and take it along with you so you are sure to get the right replacement item.  Screw them on and your drawers are good as new!

We no longer have a landline so my cell phone is also our home phone.  In the years where my mom’s health was declining I felt that I needed my phone close at hand for emergency calls day or night.  My routine became to charge my phone on my bedside table each night.  I had a power bar handy so my charger was easy to plug in, but my frustration was that I was always having to reach around under the bedskirt to find the charging end.

This little cable clip solved the problem.

It is now screwed to my bedside table and the charger end is always close at hand.  Maybe you could use this little item wherever you have your charging station set-up.

Here is a quick and easy option for hanging items that are heavy enough to require wall anchors.  Check out this product!

We are going to have a quick training lesson at an upcoming staff meeting so all of us are comfortable to hang client items using these Tap & Lock Anchors.  No drilling required  🙂   We are often called upon to hang clients’ decor after a move and these will make it a breeze!

Whatever your organizing challenge, we are here to help!  We don’t come to give you a piece of our mind, but rather a bit of our heart!  No judgement.

  1. Main Meals: Have a current calander not in use, with large squares for writing on? For many years I would look ahead on my regular calendar for times we’d be away, then take my menu calendar and add entrees for each night for a full month. Thursday nights were always leftovers and every other week we would have one evening to eat out. This way I would buy up specials from the store like pork chops, pizza, meat pies, roast beef, etc. It also ensured that I make liver once a month! My family realized that I might scratch a meal and go with something different, but at least half my battle was done by knowing in general what to prepare, plus it was likely in our freezer or the ingredients in our panty.

    1. Love it Jean!! Planning always gets “two thumbs up” from me. You are right, but projecting some options onto the calendar, half the battle was done. Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
