We love the Frixion Ball Pen by Pilot.
We have recommended this product to many people over the last few years. It is a fine tip pen that is erasable with friction. It has a grey tipped end that can remove any markings from the pen. It comes in many colours and can be purchased at Staples. We love it! We give it as a gift to each of our new employees and many of us are hooked on them now and love to use them for our paper calendars and planners.
We can write in our appointments and if there is a cancellation or change, we can simply erase it and it doesn’t make a mess in our calendar 🙂
Since the pens come in so many great colours they are a great option for your family calendar too. Designate a colour to each family member and then at a glance each person can easily spot their own items.
I particularly enjoy using my Frixion pen when I write note cards. It is easy to erase if I make an error and the letter doesn’t end up looking messy.

Another of our favourite products is the Rubbermaid 12 slot Organizer.
If you are a piler rather than a filer then this is the product for you!
The drawers easily slide out so that they are portable. You can take the drawer with you to the surface where you are working or to a meeting. It allows you to have 12 piles on the go at any given time. There is a small name plate on the front of each drawer – just the size of a small post-it note. You can give each drawer a temporary subject label, or use your label maker to make it more permanent.
This product does take up space on your desk or work surface, but in many cases it is worth the space forfeited. You can use the surface on top for your printer or perhaps line up magazine files to create homes for different categories of incoming information to be dealt with.
