When our clients come to us with a need or concern, Heart of the Matter does its best to meet that need or direct you to someone who can. Our services reach far beyond a general list as we want to provide top notch care for every person we encounter. We believe that organizing is our vehicle into people’s lives. We consider it an honour to walk the journey of life alongside our clients. Here is our “Top 15” list of ways that we can journey with you!
Hands on organizing your space – this is the most obvious way as we are professional organizers and our mission statement is: to equip and mentor individuals to get their space (work/home) in order so that they have the time and energy to fulfill their purpose in life.
Plan of action – if you have the energy and motivation to organize your space, we can do a walk through and share all the tricks of the trade with you. We will give you advice and ideas and you save money by implementing the ideas yourself.
Virtual organizing – if you don’t feel comfortable having one of our team members come to your house or you live too far away, we can offer you virtual organizing. This is a new service we are providing – having a consultation via the internet.
Rightsizing – do you need help going through your possessions to decide what you need to keep and what you need to pass on? Are you moving to a smaller space and leaving the home where you have raised your family and have a lifetime of memories? This is an emotional season of life. We would love to walk this journey with you. We can help you pull everything out and take you through a system to make this a much easier process.
Packing and moving – do you need to move in the near future? We provide packing and moving services. We are “your bridge to a new home”. We will walk you through the entire process from beginning to end, including booking movers, connecting you with junk removal, and auction, taking away donations, packing and unpacking etc. We can even help contact all your utilities, health care providers etc and inform them of your change of address.
Floor planning – we can provide you with a floor plan of your space. Whether you are moving or want to rearrange a space to make it more efficient, we can come up with a plan for you!
Clearing out estates – we can take care of the entire process of clearing out a space. We coordinate any services needed and our team is happy to work with you to completely empty any space.
Connecting you with resources – we have been working in this industry for 15 years so we have an extensive list of trusted professionals and services that can help you through any life transition.
Photo organizing – some of our favourite days are sitting down with clients and working through their overwhelming photo project. We give you concrete steps to work through all your projects and help every step of the way. From sorting all the way to labeling photos and journaling in your photo albums.
Setting up new spaces – we are often invited in to a new work space or when our clients move into a new house, to help them efficiently set up the space. The key is that “everything needs a home” – we happily find a home for every item in the new space so that everyone starts off on the right foot!
Brainstorming systems – we love to come into a home or workplace and talk through the “flow” of the space. What systems need to be put into place so all the processes are streamlined and everyone knows the new system.
Organizing with teachers – I have my OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) certificate and love to help teachers get organized. From physically organizing a classroom, to talking through processes, to long range planning and day to day organization. We also help administrators, teachers and staff to transition back to work after a medical/personal leave.
Presentations – we love to do presentations for all sorts of groups. We do presentations on corporate organizing, Top 10 Organizing tips, Rightsizing, time management, etc. We can cater our topic to your group.
Paper Management – we have worked with MANY individuals over the years to organize their paper. Filing systems, preparing income tax papers, dealing with everyday paper, children’s crafts/mementos, business archives, etc. We have done it all!
Mentoring sessions – this can include all or any of the above. We can discuss what is going on in your life and then come up with a plan for working through all areas in your life . . . physical organizing, photos, time management, scheduling, menu planning, recipe organization, etc.
