It’s January of a brand new year!! This is the time when the team at Heart of the Matter challenges ourselves to a little Attitude Adjustment. We all need it from time to time don’t we? Maybe you are ready to take the challenge with us.
For me it seems that with a brand new year stretching out in front of me my heart is ready to hear some of this information.
This is often the time when we think about setting goals or making resolutions…….what we will or won’t do for the coming year. A caution for all of us is to not make those plans too grandiose. Since we are talking organizing, that is where we will put our focus.
If your thought is that “this year I HAVE to get organized”……I want to encourage you first off to relax. Are you trying to accomplish too big of a goal too quickly? Make sure your plan is realistic to you and your stage of life.
Do you have a family still living at home? That has a huge impact on how your home is going to look on any given day. Or are you at the other end of the spectrum with age and circumstances slowing you down physically?
Sometimes it is easy to blame our failures on those around us and then we aren’t so nice to be around are we?
My challenge for you this week is to relax……and do some personal reflection on your attitude and your expectations for getting your home in order. Are they realistic?
