Plattsville Christian School asked Heart of the Matter to conduct a workshop titled "Teacher Clutter" in May, 2010. Teachers are notorious for having piles of paper, bulletin board items, hands on materials, forms, memos and on and on it goes! Held in Plattsville, we pulled in participants from Public Boards, Christian Schools, Home Schools and Sunday Schools from Guelph, Woodstock, Stratford, Kitchener, Waterloo and places in between.
Rhonda and Donna had planned a meaningful and rewarding evening for us. Through pictures, samples, encouraging words, and group participation many practical ideas were shared for streamlining classroom areas.
A workshop like this would be beneficial for ALL teachers. Finding a home for each item, training students to use the homes for each item, being able to obtain things quickly.... what a blessing!
Donna and Rhonda made sure that the evening was fun, practical and meaningful. It is my hope that they will be invited to give many more of these practical workshops. So much time could be saved if we all knew right where to locate items quickly. I, for one, would be quick to sign up for another workshop as these talented ladies are always coming up with new ideas!

As a classroom teacher I was thrilled to attend the teacher's workshop presented by "Heart of the Matter"! The mindset of an organized person, comes down to a few basic tips that can be applied immediately. For example, I use my hotfile at home and at school. It makes life simpler, just because I know where my most important papers are...at all times!! That alone has already saved me oodles of time. The tips learned at this workshop are compared to how you would organize a Kindergarten class.
Since I am changing over to teaching Kindergarten in September, I am beginning to prepare my class with labels!! The most freeing aspect of the course for me is the idea of getting rid of clutter...out go all my junior teaching materials! If I ever teach grade 5 again, I will start fresh! (mind you I haven't taught gr. 5 in several years now...I am definitely a primary teacher). Thank you for such a practical, hands on approach to dealing with clutter, and gaining control over paper. You know how to make organizing fun and attainable!! Blessings to such a unique and life changing ministry you ladies deliver!!! Now I have time to get a puppy! (Do you have a workshop for pet management?!)
Love ya both, Diane Serroul
The Heart of the Matter Teacher Workshop inspired me to use a logical filing system in my classroom and generally helped me to operate more efficiently in my space. Such basic things as labelling well, storing reusable charts efficiently and clearing off my desk at the end of the day in preparation for the next one, have allowed me more peace at work, making me a better teacher! Donna and Rhonda spoke in a refreshingly down-to-earth way, using humour and common sense to encourage teachers to work in an orderly environment. It was a relaxing evening in which teachers could sit and learn.

Donna Schmidt and Rhonda Erb were speakers at the annual homeschool conference that I am involved with in Kitchener Waterloo. They held two workshops for the conference, “Organizing 101 – What you need to know” and “Work Smarter Not Harder”. Both workshops were well attended and highly appreciated by those in attendance.
My contacts with both Donna and Rhonda took place over the course of several months, and at all times I found them to be professional and courteous. I was highly impressed that they followed through on their commitment to our conference despite the fact that Donna’s home was flooded by the Nith River only a few days before the conference.
The following comments come from the evaluation sheets handed in following the workshops.
EXCELLENT!!!! I am so thoroughly impressed having these professional ladies available to us as a workshop! Thank you!
One of the most practical, clear, concise and relevant workshops I’ve ever attended. I wasn’t sure if I could handle homeschooling due to my lack of organization. Thank you for the amazing lessons.
I feel so motivated and I got GREAT ideas from this. The handout is great!! The family file caddy is going to change my life. Thank you!!!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and I would be pleased to outline my involvement with these two ladies.
Sincerely,

Workshops in the Business World
Our staff requested professional development training on personal organization and time management. Many of the staff indicated they'd like to keep their offices more organized, but they were always too busy. This group usually prefers very specific and hands on training where they leave with learnings they can implement right away rather than 'fluff' presentations. We decided to invite Rhonda and Donna to work their organizing magic on my office, and use this experience as a case study for the group training session. This was very valuable as Rhonda and Donna picked up on specialized organization needs for our group. We also had before/after photos to use at the training session to demonstrate the problem solving approaches they implemented. The solutions they recommended were very practical and easy to maintain. Normally, tackling my office would be very overwhelming but Rhonda and Donna made it a very fun experience. Their passion for organizing and helping people improve their productivity is absolutely evident and contagious. Staff in the office found it very interesting to watch them work. We chose Heart of the Matter for their team approach. Their rates were comparable to other one-person personal organization companies. While I worked with one of them, the other would be busy preparing another area so the task seemed very streamlined. Having never worked with a personal organizer before, I really didn't know what to expect, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and was extremely satisfied with the results. Our organization would also benefit from their services to organize central filing, and to work with retiring staff to transition their filing. Thanks Rhonda and Donna for your enthusiasm!

Recently I had the fortunate opportunity to experience a Heart of the Matter workshop. They speak with clarity, confidence and enthusiasm. After listening to what they can offer, I now believe they could make simplicity out of chaos. Recommended.

I had an opportunity to attend a workshop given by Heart of the Matter. It was one of the most enthusiastic, humorous, and organized visual presentations that I have had an opportunity to attend. As my office as a realtor is very mobile, the tips and ideas to stay organized and efficient were right on the mark. Heart of the Matter speaks to the group needs and was easily able to adapt to the group presentation that I attended. We were a mixed group of professionals that had one thing in common - a need to be efficient and organized, and I believe each of us left with solutions that would indeed help us. I highly recommend any group or individual consider a presentation by this energetic company. There passion is evident....the results amazing....it truly “came from the heart.

Thank you so much for your fabulous presentation on Tuesday evening. You have such a great and funny way of presenting that anyone can relate to. I really liked the various ideas you had for meal planning and what to do with the children's art! I am implementing them already. I also was inspired to revisit my cluttered hotfile and sort, toss and file what was in there. I kind of lost how to use it properly but now I am going to go back to doing it right. Thank you! I really had to restrain myself from not jumping up and touting your great helpfulness to everyone in the room.
Evening routines are very important. Brainstorm with your family a regular routine you can have each evening in order that mornings run smoothly. Suggestions might include:
school papers completed and back pack ready by the door
